Liminal Drift is a work of peripheral glimpses into micro-blinks of unthoughts, of random instants of nature dreaming and reverie.

Liminal Drift

The images, videos, moving stills, and the soundscape are mindscapes of unthinking and disremembering, as we journey through our everyday lives.

Image pixel data from Liminal Drift was used to create the base layer of the soundscape, playing on the idea of hearing nature and abstractions through imagery… eluding what is real. This soundscape represents the vastness of our mindscape in reverie.

This work is an experimental exploration melding photographic stills, moving stills, videos, and a soundscape with programming applications, in particular nature and nature abstract imagery.

Time data and algorithms were used with the imagery generating infinite combinations of montage expressions. In liminal drift, we forgo the notions of time and experience chance and randomness, and intangible unthoughts.
